April 13, 2025 — a rainy day. Hoping to capture tulips in the rain, I headed to Showa Kinen Park. My shoes were soaked, but I couldn’t stop taking photos.
Tulips glistening in the rain, cherry blossoms still holding on. Near closing time, the heavy rain finally stopped. In front of me, a quiet field of yellow blossoms appeared — nanohana, bathed in soft evening light.
The park was almost empty. Time flowed gently. It felt like spring was saying goodbye, quietly and beautifully.
Cherry blossom petals dancing in the spring breeze. Even after most of the flowers have fallen, beauty still lingers in the air. A brown-eared bulbul appears, fluttering through the scene — and near the end, a brief quarrel unfolds between two birds. A fleeting moment of spring, captured in its natural rhythm.

I visited a spot I found online—famous for its weeping cherry blossoms. It was far more beautiful than I imagined. The air was soft, warm, and quietly comforting. I hope this video captures even a little of that moment.

🌸 As the cherry blossoms leave, the city quietly embraces a new season. This video captures Tokyo on April 11, 2025 — after the full bloom of sakura. From Mitsukoshimae and Nihonbashi to the Imperial Palace and Chidorigafuchi, the city’s quiet transition unfolds. That same day was the entrance ceremony at the University of Tokyo — a perfect symbol of new beginnings. Shot with the FUJIFILM X-T5, this short film focuses on the subtle beauty of post-bloom sakura and the city’s soft breath into spring.
